The Fav LED Necklace is designed to make your dog visible to vehicles and other motorists after dark using one of the three modes: quick flash, slow flash, or steady. Available in 6 colors: Blue, Green, Orange, Pink, Red and White
The necklace has been carefully modified to add vibrating haptic feedback for blind users. As always, any press of the mode switch cycles through the modes: fast, slow steady and off. Holding the mode button down when changing modes makes it vibrate continuously in steady mode, not at all when off, or in time to the fast/slow flashing. Generally the intensity of the vibrations will vary according to the battery charge so "low battery" can be felt.
They're rechargeable, with the included mini-USB charging cable, so there are no extra costs or struggling to replace the battery. Run time is approximately from three hours of steady glow to six hours of flashing. Those aren't cut off times, but when the LEDs go dim enough it's time to top 'em off. They won't just go dark without warning.
The necklaces fit necks from 9.0 inches to 27.6 inches.
Price: $30
Important notes:
They are not collars and should ONLY be used with a real dog collar and NEVER be attached to a leash or tiedown - they won't hurt your dog but they will pop open under too much tension.
They're not "adjustable" in the usual sense and are intended to be cut to size. This is simple to do but very permanent and must be undertaken carefully, instructions are included.
The necklace has a clasp that opens and closes. Identifying the clasp is vital for correctly cutting the necklace to size. We don't care to use the clasp day-to-day to remove the necklace and prefer to size the necklace a little large so it slips easily over the head. Either way works. And you can always cut it shorter.
Which is the brightest? The green in our opinion is the brightest. That being said, the pink, blue, red, and white necklaces are plenty bright. The orange necklace is the least bright, but its still bright enough for people to definitely see your dog coming.
Is it water-proof or water resistant? Water resistant. It will be fine in a light rain, but do not let your doggo go swimming in it.
